“It’s sarcasm, Josh.”
“Sarcasm?”
“It’s from the Greek, sarkasmos. To bite the lips. It means that you aren’t really saying what you mean, but people will get your point. I invented it, Bartholomew named it.”
“Well, if the village idiot named it, I’m sure it’s a good thing.”
“There you go, you got it.”
“Got what?”
“Sarcasm.”
“No, I meant it.”
“Sure you did.”
“Is that sarcasm?”
“Irony, I think.”
“What’s the difference?”
“I haven’t the slightest idea.”
“So you’re being ironic now, right?”
“No, I really don’t know.”
“Maybe you should ask the idiot.”
“Now you’ve got it.”
“What?”
“Sarcasm.”

Boyd: …There’s nothing real about it, they’re programmed.
Topher: Does that tie keep you warm?
Boyd: What? No.
Topher: No. It’s just what “grownup” men do in our culture. They put a piece of cloth around their necks so they can assert their status and recognize each other as non-threatening kindred.
Boyd: So, what is this? The Sixties? Are we going to burn our draft cards?
Topher: You wear the tie because it never occurred to you not to. You eat eggs every morning, but never at night. You feel excitement and companionship when rich men you’ve never met put a ball through a net. You feel guilty, maybe a little suspicious every time you see that Salvation Army Santa. You look down for at least half a second if a woman leans forward. And your stomach rumbles every time you drive by a big golden arch. Even if you weren’t hungry before. Everybody’s programmed, Boyd.
Boyd: Damn. You really spend some time on your self justification.
Topher: Not the case. I don’t care. This is an awesome gig. This is cutting edge science in a house full of hot chicks. Morality is programming too.

In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

http://www.facebook.com/fourtytwo

And my personal favorite:

Ustedes encontraron alguno bueno?

Divorce is very rare and requires dispensation from her pastor. I can send him a wave, see what I can do.
I read your wave. You’re holding post for us?
Just got a wave from Inara. No luck with the councilor.
We got the wave at the Friedlichs. I had to leave your mother at the dinner table!
Bastante claro, no?
La primera, cuando Lars y Stephanie estan “chateando” (10:30 en el video), Lars responde “Shiny, you must know a good store”.

All right, this dance is over. Get your booze and your dog tags and let’s get out of here

For the major labels, it’s over. It’s fucking over. You’re going to burn to the fucking ground, and we’re all going to dance around the fire. And it’s your own fault. Surely, somewhere deep inside, you had to know this day was coming, right? Your very industry is founded on an unfair business model of owning art you didn’t create in exchange for the services you provide. It’s rigged so that you win every time – even if the artist does well, you do ten times better. It was able to exist because you controlled the distribution, but now that’s back in the hands of the people, and you let the ball drop when you could have evolved.
None of this is to say that there’s no way for artists to make money anymore, or even that it’s the end of record labels. It’s just the end of record labels as we know them.
