#21 – Inevitable
I knew this was gonna happen. The Sony Ericsson W580i es known by the breakable keys.
So, yesterday, after 8 months of using it, I broke #3 and #6. :(

I hate to take pictures with flash. Good thing I got a tripod and I could take it with a really low shutter speed.
They are 3D, if it isn’t obvious :P
This is an example of how my mind works when I take a picture.
I was coming home from work and the sun was really up and it was a really hot day. I was frowning even with my awesome shiny sunglasses. And Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” came on my walkman. More exactly, the phrase “Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes…”.
So I stopped and took a pic of myself looking at the sun.
The photo didn’t came out the way I meant. The sun was supposed to reflect on my sunglasses.
But I hate to take pictures on the streets. People look at me like I’m a stalker or a weirdo. So I didn’t take another one.
So Steph chose the challenge for this Tuesday, and appropiately enough for today in USA (election day), she chose “Patriotism”.
And the only shoot I could think of representing patriotism here, at least today, was this lame shot of the government building.
The thing is… we don’t do the whole “let’s hang a flag outside our door” unless is an official building. It sucks, and it sucks more that we seem to do it just for Soccer World Cups.
Not that patriotism defines by hanging flags… It doesn’t. Far away from that, actually. And I can see a complain about me speaking english as a lack of it too. Yeah, because hanging a flag or speaking your native language defines how much your love your country.
But it is what it is. Our lack of patriotism represents us. Leave it or take it.
Go and vote with conscience. Complain when something is being done in the wrong way. Raise your voice when your President wants to steal your savings.
That’s patriotism.
But it’s pretty hard to take a pic of that :P
Btw, I really really REALLY hope McCain won’t win today.
I had a really good day at work so not even the rain would ruin it for me.
My jeans were wet up to my knees and it was still raining pretty hard (though at least, the sun was still there) but I walked home with no rush, music in my ears and a big smile on my face.
Yesterday was not a very good day for me. I felt sick almost all day and I only got out of the house to get some ice cream. I took just one picture, this one. It sucks and it’s all out of focus, but I took it because I was surprised to find a kid on these kind of rollers.
The old kind.
The kind I used to have. :)
I took this one on saturday (I was lazy and didn’t post it). Not a very good one though.
But the point is, my sister is famous for her grilled pizza (Pizza a la Parrilla) and I had never tried it until Saturday. It was amazing. I’ma make her do it more often :)
