#30 – I’ve got an idea

Hay fotos que no se pueden hacer con una cámara común. Esta es una de ellas.

No está exactamente como yo quería, pero no se me ocurrió otra forma de hacerla. Diafragma bastante cerrado, obturador suficientemente rápido y foco manual.

Alguna recomendación?

Ayer me compre una Nikon D40. Es mi primera cámara de fotos ever. Casi todas las fotos que he tomado antes fueron con la Sony W5 de mi hermana y a veces la W55 de mi papá (ambas point&shoot), asi que esta es mi primera vez detrás de algo semi profesional.

Estoy maravillada. Todavía no termino de leer el manual y puedo hacer tantas cosas que no se por donde empezar. Recién hoy pude jugar un poquitito con el control manual (aunque tengo que acostumbrarme a usar el auto por ahora, porque la voy a cagar en fotos buenas y algunos momentos son irrecuperables) y acostumbrar el ojo a enfocar desde el visor y a prestarle atención a las velocidades y aberturas.

Esta foto la tome hoy, completamente manual y sin post-edición (excepto, obviamente, está reflejada). Anoche había tomado una parecida pero con muy poca luz y sin entender completamente como funcionaba (ni le había tocado el balance de blancos).

La razón por la que no he estado tomando fotos para el proyecto es básicamente la ansiedad de tener la cámara nueva (ademas de tiempo). Así que espero eso se revierta ahora y recuperar el ritmo.

Here at this city, we don’t have a good health care or educational system. But we do have movies, computers and… art.

This is a wall from BAS XXI, the public art center. You can see something like this all over the city, along with urban sculptures and purple trees.

#27 – WTF?

I’m waaay behind on the Project. After I had to moved it to here, I’ve been lazy to get to post my photos. Add to that I’ve been busy as hell these days and I didn’t even have time to take pictures, and I’m more than 10 days behind.

I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to catch up. But if everything goes how I planned it, I’ll be getting a new camera soon. I think that’s gonna be enough encourage to take more pics and post them.

As for this one, how weird is to find a shoe like that one in the middle of the streets? o_O

#26 – Pianito

As some of you might know, the road around the Lake “Potrero de los Funes”, here in San Luis, has become an international semipermanent circuit, that last weekend hosted an international competition called “FIA GT” along with the local TC2000.

Yesterday I went to the town, in the middle of the mountain, for the first time since the circuit was finished and even if it’s really awesome… it ruined the view. It ain’t the same, to watch the sun setting over the mountain reflecting on the lake with those ugly wires around it.

PS: this isn’t my favorite photo from yesterday’s batch, but it was the most representative for what I wanted to rant about.

Después de un inconveniente con el fotolog del project 365 (y el poco tiempo para arreglarlo), empecé a postear las fotos acá. Por qué? no tengo tiempo de ver porqué no anda el template, quiero tener mis fotos en la base de datos del blog y porque últimamente estaba posteando los rants que usualmente posteo acá, allá. Entonces, por qué no tenerlo en el propio blog? Aviso que los posts del proyecto seguiran siendo en inglés.
