#10 Patriotism

So Steph chose the challenge for this Tuesday, and appropiately enough for today in USA (election day), she chose “Patriotism”.

And the only shoot I could think of representing patriotism here, at least today, was this lame shot of the government building.

The thing is… we don’t do the whole “let’s hang a flag outside our door” unless is an official building. It sucks, and it sucks more that we seem to do it just for Soccer World Cups.

Not that patriotism defines by hanging flags… It doesn’t. Far away from that, actually. And I can see a complain about me speaking english as a lack of it too. Yeah, because hanging a flag or speaking your native language defines how much your love your country.

But it is what it is. Our lack of patriotism represents us. Leave it or take it.

Go and vote with conscience. Complain when something is being done in the wrong way. Raise your voice when your President wants to steal your savings.

That’s patriotism.

But it’s pretty hard to take a pic of that :P

Btw, I really really REALLY hope McCain won’t win today.

Queridos bloggers argentos:

Si me interesara, claro.

Taly

Un texano en Argentina

A Texan in Argentina.

If they want me to believe in their god, they’ll have to sing me better songs…
~ Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)

Hoy me da vergüenza ser argentina.

Para esto si funciona rápido la justicia. Mas que 3er mundo, somos de cuarta.
